| Our dogs are NOT CKC or AKC registered Bulldogs. We work with a line of alternative Bulldog that we are developing here in Canada called the Dhomhnuill Style BulldogTM. The name has been registered to protect our work under Canadian Trademark laws and is meant to show what dogs have been health and conformation certified. The Dhomhnuill lines are as close to the English Bulldog as possible with out compromising the health of the dogs. This is accomplished by carefully selecting health certified CKC & ACK Bulldogs from the best lines available and breeding them only to other health certified Bulldog breeds. Our group follows a strict standard and a very strict health certification program set out by Veterinarians. As a group of dedicated breeder's we are able to produce a "English Style" looking Bulldog that is only 3-4" taller and 10 lbs heavier. The final product is a good looking Bulldog that is far more healthy and fit then the CKC and AKC registered Bulldogs of today. Pictures of the dogs produced by the breeders working with the BBBA's Dhomhnuill Style Bulldog program speak for them selves. The Dhomhnuill Bulldog is just that a BULLDOG. They are not meant to be a recreation of a Bull baiting dog (Who needs that any ways?). They are not bred as protection dogs (If you need one of those than what you really need is a new life style!!!!!) As you can see from the picture below, the Dhomhnuill Style Bulldog is a Bulldog, they are not larger then the English Bulldog only slightly leaner and taller. If you are looking for a fast agile Bulldog that can go for summer runs and swims, can play with the kids and other family pets all while still looking like a Bulldog NOT a American Bulldog or a Bulldogge and being socially dependable then the Dhomhnuill Style Bulldog is the right choice for you! |
All dogs registered before January 1st 2007 will be evaluated for conformation and pedigree and then
placed accordingly within the evolving breed scheme. This will show what dogs already fit the standard,
are breeding true and what dogs need further development towards the accepted conformation for the
breed.
Conformation Certified Dog:
- All dogs must be evaluated by the BBBA’s Head Judge and be found to have at least the minimum
required traits for the breed.
- There is an additional $10/dog administration fee to enter a certified dog into the BBBA database. This
fee is not the same as the $20 UBO registration fee.
BBBA Health Certification:
- All dogs used in the Better Bulldog breeders Association for the development of the Dhomhnuill Style
Bulldog must be evaluated by a Veterinarian and pass either Blue Ribbon or the Red Ribbon health
screenings.
- There is a $10/dog administration fee for the submitting of this data into the BBBA database. Owners
that wish to upgrade there dogs status from Blue too Red Ribbon will be required to pay a $5.00
administration fee.
Breedings:
- A pairing between dogs that are both BBBA Health Certified and Conformation Certified.

Generational Stock Breedings:
- In some cases these pairings may be guided but not in forced by the Director or the Head Judge.
G1 x G1 = G2

G3> x G3> = one generational designation higher then the lowest generational parent or Standard Breed
Type based on conformation and pedigree.
Standard Breed Type Dogs:
- These are dogs that have been evaluated by the Director of Breedings and the Head Judge for
conformation and pedigree.
- They are the products of either a G3> x G3> breeding or between a Db or SBT x G2 or G3 breedings.
- Dogs will be designated as SBT (Standard Breed Type) for the purpose of Generational identification.
- Standard Breed Type (UBO, BBBA)
- One approved breeding away from the Dhomhnuill Style Bulldog

Pure Bred Status Breedings:
- In some cases these pairings may be guided and in forced by the Director or the Head Judge.
SBT x SBT = SBT or Dhomhnuill Style Bulldog based on conformation of the litter.

Dhomhnuill Style Bulldogs:
- These are dogs that have graduated threw the BBBA breeding scheme.
- In order for a dog to be designated as a Dhomhnuill Style Bulldog they must be from a Pure Bred Status
litter that consisted of a minimum 75% of the pups being rated as Standard Breed Type at one year of age
based on there conformation alone.
- Dogs that are of the 25% factor based on there conformation will be designated as SBT dogs.

*With genetic testing we are able to test for and prove a 50% or higher Bulldog make up.
Out Crossings:

Parental Stock Breeds.
